The Vacuum Chronicles Rick Johnson Natalie Alder Alison Greene Books Reviews

The Vacuum Chronicles is a unrealistic story written by Rick Johnson & Natalie Alder. This is romantic comedy with hilarious comments and witty comebacks.

Myles Mitchell is a thirty- two-year old accountant who has been satisfied with his Hoover Vacuum experiences. When he walks into Daley's diner to have his daily lunch he wasn’t looking for love or expecting to insult the beautiful dishwater blonde hair waitress with one of his corny jokes but that's exactly what he did. He also wasn’t expecting to fall in love with her that day at lunch either. Now all he has to do is convince Yvette Luponski, the waitress from Great Bay that he is a well mannered guy that deserves a chance.

Come read this down right funny story that will leave you dying out laughing at corny jokes and a unrealistic story. This is a book that you need to read after a hard day. When you just want to sit back and read a good love story that will make you dye out laughing.

HEA Fanatics received a complimentary copy for Melissa to voluntarily read in exchange for a honest review.
Myles is an awkward man, he has an affinity for his Hoover vacuums, that’s right I said vacuums as in plural and he has many in his lifetime. He is still a virgin and worries that he may die alone but weirdly he has made peace with it.
Yvette is a waitress at the diner Myles frequents. They hit it off and have some strange interactions.
At times this book was funny, REALLY funny but other times I was confused. The story actually had lots of potential but there were some issues with the POV and I could not tell who was speaking because I thought it was Yvette but I think it was supposed to be Myles.
It was entertaining if you are into awkward adults. If you can suspend reality for a few hours to get through the book, then give it a try. I wanted to give it more stars but the goofy POV made me have to reread pages and I find, I don’t like doing that.
Spoiler
There is a semi cliffhanger at the end.
When I was snortlaughing by the middle of the third paragraph, I set my expectations pretty high. By the end of chapter two, I was all "okay, so the love storyline is basically sorted then... I need to stop taking notes for my review and read this book, cuz I wanna know how this is gonna play out!"

And OMG, y'all, I'm so glad I did! This book! This book was straight up a clustermuck of Murphy's Law striking again and again, in the funniest of ways possible. Like, side splitting hilarious, for serious. I haven't laughed this hard at a book in a while!

And then the ending! Woah. I totally didn't see that. I should have known with "Chronicles" in the title, I'd be needing a book 2, but I had no idea our authors would leave it like that.

Note I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This story was...interesting. Myles is a nice guy, but extremely awkward and socially inept. Myles and Yvette both have had bad luck in the relationship world, both in different ways. I like to think there's someone out there for everyone - Yvette is Myles' someone. Just as unique in her own ways. The story had comedic parts. The inner monologue of Myles was pretty funny. He is one sad little fella.

I think the story was just a little too much for my taste. Some of the situations were just too far out there for me to get into - like the pimple popping. I think others may be able to find them funny. The interactions between characters seemed a little too far stretched from reality and their relationship didn't seem to flow realistically.

The writers provided some witty comments that I enjoyed, but overall I would say this book isn't my style. That doesn't mean it won't be yours!

Oh my heavens this book is absolutely just what I needed after the week I had. Sick little grandson breaks my heart . Anyway on a better note I read this book awhile back, but got busy and laid it to the side. Shame on me. Let me tell you I read it again an didn't put it down until I was finished. I'm familiar with Natalie Alder but Rick Johnson is new to me. I'm gonna have to do some investigating and browse his books. If they are anything like this one, well all I can say is he will have a new fan. Him an Natalie did an awesome job of writing this book.

I'm sure everyone that reads this book will love it an laugh. It is hilarious, spine tingling, in a good way laughing so hard you start crying. Be warned don't have anything in your mouth cause some of the dialog is so funny ,you have to cover your mouth when you laugh. My family ask me quite a few times what the heck was so funny. I said you have to read it. So my daughter did she read the part where Myles hit his toe on the dresser an with his hurt tongue the way he said ....I hit my foot on the dresser an think I broke my little toe. Now just imagine him saying that with stitches in his tongue. ..lol..

This book kept my attention from the first of it to the end. I was in stitches my sides were hurting.
There were a few twist an bumps along the way have to read to find out if Myles an his lady Yvette conquered them.

I have to say the title was interesting but wow never knew Hoover could do that!! Myles an his vacuums! !!! You gotta read it to know it.

Oh mercy never in my wildest dreams would I have thought what happened at the end. Yes there is a book 2 can't wait to find out what happens next.

Rick and Natalie know how to team up and write one amazing book. Love the dialog they use with food in sentences between Yvette an LaRaine. It's amazing how two authors can put together such a fantabulous book. They did an excellent job, the characters were all fantastic. It's like I'm in the book, I really felt like it when they were at Chucky Chicken, you could feel the way the characters enter acted. All in all awesome book. Loved it.

I recommend this book highly and the authors
